Crime practitioners need volume 1, civil and family practitioners need volumes 2 and 3 . It is useful, although such is the complexity of the legal aid scheme that it is not comprehensive. However, the following are gathered together in one publication:
Volume 1 – Crime Regulations and Crime Contracts: Statutory materials; LASPO 2012 and the regulations made under it, VHCC arrangements, 2004, 2010 and 2013, Police Station arrangements 2001, and who is authorised to carry out delegated functions. It also contains the 2010 Standard Crime Contract as amended 2013.
Volume 2 – Civil Contracts: The 2010 Standard Civil Contract, 2010 Costs Assessment Guidance, 2013 Standard Civil Contract, 2013 Costs Assessment Guidance, 2013
Volume 3 – Civil Regulations: Statutory materials; LASPO 2012 and the regulations made under it, The Lord Chancellor’s Guidance on the regulations, Guides to financial eligibility for controlled and licensed work, and who is authorised to carry out delegated functions.
