Grayling backs down on client choice

The Gazette is reporting that, ahead of his meeting with the Justice Select Committee on Wednesday, Chris Grayling has agreed to retain client choice in any new criminal legal aid scheme. He is also reported to be willing to “explore” further proposals put forward by the Law Society.
